Vroam Protection

If any issue arises with the local shop — whether it's about damage assessment, repair costs, or deposit disputes — our team will step in and negotiate on your behalf to make sure you get a fair and transparent arrangement.

Damage Protection
Optional add-onFor extra peace of mind, our Damage Protection takes care of repair costs if the bike gets damaged during your rental. You'll never pay more than IDR 1,500,000 per incident, no matter the damage — so you can ride stress-free.
What's covered
- Damage to the bike caused by a third party
- Damage resulting from an accident (must be reported to Vroam within 24 hours)
- Scratches, dents, and body damage from normal riding incidents
- Capped liability — you pay at most IDR 1,500,000 per claim
Conditions & Requirements
- Photo documentation required: You must take photos of the bike from all angles (front, back, both sides, handlebars, and any existing marks) within 1 hour of picking up the bike and share them with Vroam. Without this documentation, claims cannot be processed.
- Accident reporting: Any accident or incident must be reported to Vroam within 24 hours of occurrence.
Franchise (Deductible)
Each claim is subject to a franchise of IDR 1,500,000 per incident — that's the maximum you'll ever pay, no matter how serious the damage. Vroam covers everything above that.
Pricing
Pricing depends on the scooter category (more powerful bikes have a higher daily rate) and is calculated on the total rental duration and number of bikes. The exact amount is shown when you select the cover at checkout.
What's not covered
- Damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence
- Damage occurring while the bike is operated by an unauthorized driver
- Damage occurring while the driver does not hold a valid driving license
- Loss or theft of the bike (unless a police report is filed)
- Personal belongings or injuries — we recommend travel insurance for those
- Damage not documented with initial photos within the required timeframe
Claims & Refunds
Once a claim has been submitted and approved, refunds are processed and issued within 90 days of the claim date. Vroam will keep you updated on the status of your claim throughout the process.
